Cielo Cerezo – PRODUCER

 

Cielo Cerezo is a Los Angeles-based independent film producer.   Prior to striking out on her own, she served as the director of development at New York based production company, Good Machine, Inc. (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, In the Bedroom, Brokeback Mountain etc.) co-founded by James Schamus and Ted Hope. In addition to helping build Good Machine’s wider slate of projects, Cielo workedto find and shape material for Academy Award winning director, Ang Lee, as well initiating Good Machine’s foray into the family film market, setting up several projects at Nickelodeon and Fox TV Production.Before Good Machine, Cielo worked for the marketing department of Fine Line Features and as an assistant to talent agent Rhonda Price at The Gersh Agency in New York.

Cielo has served as a board member on IFP North’s Steering Committee, and acted as secretary for the New York Women’s Film Festival. She has served as a panelist for the Blockbuster McKnight Fellowship, which awards grants to independent filmmakers, as well as the selection committee of the Wasserman Awards, which seeks to identify and acknowledge outstanding directors and writers in the NYU Graduate Film Program.
